HIGHLIGHTS
VADO, typical village, mentioned since the XIV century. The church is consecrated to Saint Ansano and was built in the XVIII century.
ST. MARTINO DI GELLO CHURCH AND RUINS, wonderful Romanesque church which was part of the ancient Benedictine cloister consecrated to Saint Martino and Saint Giusto, mentioned in 1148.
«SERRA» NECROPOLIS, archeological site. Nowadays you can only visit the discovery area where 4 graves, which belonged  to a IV B.C. century Ligurian - Apuan necropolis, and 32 Roman burial tombs were found in 1956.The necropolis ruins are in the Guinigi Museum in Lucca and in the Archeological Museum in Camaiore.
