Where: Camaiore - "Campo all'Orzo"
When: III - II centuries BC
This archeological site is placed at "Campo all'Orzo", on a large plateau at an height of 1015-1020 mt, that is also known as "le pianacce di Menchino" ("Menchino's Plains"). In 1988 a surface survey made by the Archeological Group of Camaiore led to the individuation of an area full of clay fragments. Those fragments could be related to Greek - Italic amphorae and they could testify the presence of Ligurian - Apuan people between III and II centuries BC.
The fragments are exposed at the Civico Museo Archeologico di Camaiore.
