Place: Camaiore - Metato.
Period: Eneolithic Age
These two little caves are very close to each other and they are situated on the peak of Mount Penna (above the town of Metato), not far away from Grotta del Tambugione.
During the excavations made in the caves between 1914 and 1920 the left one turned out to be empty. The right one, instead, which has a 15 mt long entrance and a depth of 13 mt, restored archaeological finds such as several pieces of clay, two chunks of limestone and a splint which dates back to the finale years of the Neolithic age (that are also called Eneolithic Age).
