The Literary Award of Camaiore arrives, in 2020, to its XXXII edition and it represents, now, a reference point in the national and international panorama of the contemporary poetry.

On average, there are, more or less, 150 participants work annually: between these, the Technical Jury (5 members and the President Rosanna Lupi) identifies five finalists, who are subjected to the judgment of a Popular Jury, which decree the winner. It’s the presence of a Popular Jury, one of the elements , which differentiate the Camaiore Award from the others poetry contests and make it so valued and renowned also on other levels.

In addition to the general section, the Award has an international section ( translated foreign author- in the edition of 2015, the winner was a member of the Nobel Commission for Literature) and a “First Work” section open to young people under 35 years old. It’s faculty of the President to assign also a Special Prize and a Special Mention.

Another characteristic of this manifestation is the involvement of the schools in the territory, thanks to the Review “ The poetry of the young people”, which in 2020 arrives at its XII edition and for this event, every year, there’s a little dedicated event (it’s usually in July).

The closing ceremony is open to everyone.
