Thanks to its fine-sanded four-kilometer-long seashore, since the first years of the 900s Lido di Camaiore has been one of the most famous seaside resorts in Italy.
The first one to reside here was Gabriele d’Annunzio, who chose Lido di Camaiore as a place where to consume his love for the actress Eleonora Duse. In that same manor the family of the Consigli, Rolandi and Ricci lived and hosted famous people like the king Vittorio Emanuele III and Guglielmo Marconi.
After the Second World War Lido di Camaiore reached his peak, becoming the favourite destination for the national and international tourism.
